All of our services are free and confidential. Pembina Valley Pregnancy Care Centre’s goal is to provide you with the emotional and practical support you need when faced with an unplanned pregnancy or pregnancy related challenges. Our staff and volunteers are committed to the sanctity and value of all human life.
You will meet with a specially-trained support worker who is deeply committed to meeting the needs of anyone impacted by pregnancy, including friends and family. There can be very difficult issues surrounding an unplanned pregnancy: you don’t feel ready to be a parent; not sure who you can talk to or what to say; questions about how this will affect your life; questions about the physical changes you are experiencing. Our desire is to help you explore all the options so that you can make an informed decision.
We provide free and confidential pregnancy tests. We know how hard it is to go to the walk in clinic, or to buy a test at a store, so if you think you might be pregnant and want to know for sure, come see us! Please note, although these tests are very accurate, we are not a medical facility and therefore the results of your test need to be confirmed by a physician.
We provide information on your options: parenting, adoption and abortion. Please note the Pregnancy Care Centre does not perform abortions or make referrals to abortion services.
We provide information about adoption agencies in Manitoba. Please note the Pregnancy Care Centre is not an adoption agency; however, we do provide referrals to the Manitoba agencies and we will support you through the process of an adoption plan.
Confidentiality is of the utmost importance; therefore, all information is kept strictly confidential, except where required by law to report, in cases such as suspected abuse, or to act to prevent harm to self or others.
If you would like to support the Centre through volunteering, donating baby items or financial support please contact the Winkler Office at 325-7900. |
